HELP!!! DECISION: Disneyland OR San Diego Zoo and Animal World?

Hi,
I am making a last minute trip with my family downsouth, we live in the bay area. My daughter wants to go to the zoo and my son wants to go to disney land, my other son doesnt care. i want to know which one i should go to, my childrens ages are: 12 9 and 6. We can go to either but which one would be better?

First I would skip the WIld Animal Park. There is not a lot to do or see for the kids as the biggest thing is the Bus Tour(Which is new and replaced the Monorail) have the animals quite far away.

After that the Zoo is about 90 miles south of Disneyland so it depends on how far you want to travel. It will also depend on how many days you have. You can do the Zoo in 1 day, but for Disneyland you CAN do it in a day but you really need 2-3 days if you want to take your time to enjoy both parks.

There is definatly more things to do at Disneyland for both Kids and Adults, but it also costs a lot more than the Zoo. The zoo is one of the best zoos around and if you were already in the San Diego area I would say that is where you should go. However, since you are comming down on a short trip Disneyland is probably where you should go. Your daughter will still have quite a bit of fun there.

Ideally if you had the time you could do Disneyland in 1 or 2 days and 1 day for the zoo. You could stay all nights in the Anaheim area and just travel down to San Diego for the day.

Where you decide to stay in both those areas you will have plenty of choices for hotels. For Disneyland just put in Anaheim, CA for the city on sites such as expeida or orbitz to see all the hotels. For the Zoo put in San Diego, you will be looking at places in Mission Valley/Hotel Circle. This area is about 15 minutes from the zoo but has a lot of hotels to select from.
